Russia escalates: Missile barrage hits Ukraine, 3 dead
On Thursday, November 21, in the morning hours, Russia launched another missile attack on Ukraine, including the use of an intercontinental ballistic missile. This information was reported by Ukrainian Channel 24, referencing the Air Force's announcement.
The ballistic missile was likely launched from the Kapustin Yar training range in the Astrakhan region. It was directed toward the city of Dnipro. The estimated launch time was 10:12 PM Eastern Time. So far, the Ukrainian Air Force has not provided more information.
It is known, however, that the intercontinental ballistic missile was not shot down.
The statement from the Ukrainian army does not specify what type of intercontinental missile was used in the attack. At the moment, it is not possible to verify the truthfulness of the Ukrainian army's claims, reports Wirtualna Polska.
The announcement stated that the Russians also conducted an attack using a Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missile, along with seven Kh-101 missiles, six of which were shot down.
The missiles were initially directed toward Kyiv, then changed course to Poltava, and ultimately struck the Dnipropetrovsk region. Following this incident, emergency power outages were implemented in several regions, affecting the Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk areas.
Additionally, it was reported that the target of the attack in Dnipro was an industrial enterprise, where two fires broke out.
At least three people were killed in Thursday's attack on Ukraine, and another 22 were injured.
