Royal relocation: Harry and Meghan buy seaside home in Portugal
Prince Harry, the son of British King Charles III, along with his wife, actress Meghan Markle, has purchased a house in Alentejo, in the central-western part of Portugal, reported Lisbon's Radio Observador. The couple fell in love with this charming region a year ago when they visited Princess Eugenie, Prince Harry's cousin.

The Portuguese broadcaster reported that the Duke of Sussex and his spouse bought a house in Comporta, more than 60 miles south of Lisbon.
Harry and Meghan's property is located near the popular Comporta beach, which features several luxury hotel facilities and a golf course.
According to Portuguese media, Prince Harry got to know the Alentejo region in 2023 when he and his wife visited his cousin, Princess Eugenie, who bought a house a few years ago in the town of Melides, 18 miles south of Comporta with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
Prince Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan, live in Montecito, California. Their house has nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms and is on a large plot with a rose garden and century-old olive trees. The property also features an extensive garden and a swimming pool. The couple also keeps animals, including chickens. The estate cost nearly $15 million. The couple got married in May 2018.
The couple's impressive wealth
Depending on the source, Harry's total fortune is estimated at $38.94 to $51.92 million. This is largely money that the prince inherited from his mother, Princess Diana.
The initial inheritance amounted to $12.98 million, but the money was invested and multiplied. Around $9.09 million was also from the Queen Mother, who deposited this amount in a trust fund.
Harry's wealth also includes money he earned while serving in the military, by British tradition. It is believed to have been about $51,920 to $64,900 per year.
Meghan herself has also accumulated a significant sum. She earned about $51,920 per episode of "Suits." Her lifestyle blog "Tig" was worth $77,880 annually before she closed it. She also owns at least one property in Toronto. Her net worth is estimated to be £4 million in total.
The couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement before marrying, which means their wealth is joint and would be divided in the event of a divorce.
