Roma's 'Special One': Mourinho's surprise 60th birthday
The Italian team marked the milestone birthday of the Portuguese trainer with a cake and a joint rendition of Happy Birthday in the locker room. The cake was adorned with "The Special One," a nickname given to him during his tenure at Real Madrid.

Mourinho seemed both surprised and delighted by the surprise. A video posted on Roma's Twitter account shows the entire Roma team and coaching staff giving Mourinho a standing ovation in the locker room.
In the video, Mourinho is seen walking to the center of the room to blow out two candles on a chocolate cake, decorated with his face. He later returns to cut the first slice with a large knife.
Will Mourinho depart from AS Roma?
Jose Mourinho's appointment as the coach of AS Roma was announced in July 2021, following an unsuccessful tenure with English club Tottenham Hotspur. The move offered the Portuguese a chance to redeem himself in the eyes of his fans.
It's fair to say that his time with the Eternal City's team has been notably successful. Last season, the squad, under Mourinho's leadership, clinched the Europa Conference League Trophy.
Mourinho's contract runs through June 2024. However, there are several speculations. Italian publication "La Repubblica" reports that Mourinho is a potential candidate to succeed Tite as coach of the Brazilian national team.
Italian sources claim that the Brazilian federation's authorities have already reached out to the Portuguese. On the other hand, Brazilian sources report that officials have set a deadline to reveal the new coach's name, which is expected to be announced by the end of January at the latest. Let's not forget that Mourinho's coaching repertoire includes notable clubs such as Chelsea FC, Real Madrid, Manchester United, and FC Porto.
