We all have our food "guilty pleasures". For some, it might be sweets, fast food, or cakes, but for others, it’s roasted potatoes. Believe it or not, this simple snack can be more addictive than chocolate. Preparing them just right turns eating them into an irresistible binge session. And as Lord Farquaad from "Shrek" famously said, it's a sacrifice we're willing to make.

A special blend of spices is key to achieving the perfect taste and giving us that campfire feel. Salt on its own won’t cut it. You'll want to try the spice mix described below, thoroughly combining it with the potatoes before baking. This tried-and-true method won't disappoint. But don't just take our word for it; try it out yourself because tasting is believing!

  1. Start by peeling the potatoes. Rinse well and cut into quarters.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the whole garlic cloves and a teaspoon of salt. Add the potatoes once the water is boiling, cover and cook for 8-10 minutes, then drain.
  3. Prepare the spice mix. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, granulated garlic, rosemary, pepper, and salt. Add the potato starch to ensure the potatoes turn out perfectly crispy.
  4. Toss the potatoes in this marinade, then transfer to an ovenproof dish.
  5. Bake in an oven preheated to 428 degrees Fahrenheit for 40-50 minutes. To finish, sprinkle with chopped parsley leaves.

Enjoy your deliciously crispy, herb-infused roasted potatoes!
