Guests contended over outfits designed to captivate, shock, or draw attention. Rita Ora, widely known for her provocative outfits, apparently stole the show. Her preparations for this year's fashion gala even outshined her previous benchmarks. Her attire was deceptively minimalist, adhering to the classic aesthetics. However, the absolute astonishment started when the singer turned her back to the photographers.
Classic black at its finest
Rita Ora chose a body-hugging, black, sleeveless evening gown that resonated with classic elegance. Interestingly, the star didn't pick from the collections of Dior, Valentino, or Saint Laurent.
For the first time on the red carpet at the Fashion Awards, a design from Primark, the affordable clothing chain with a worldwide presence, was showcased. According to People, the dress is due for release, but in a limited edition of only 500. The proceeds will be donated to the British charity, Breast Cancer Now.

Posing alone and with her husband on the red carpet, Rita Ora also presented the back of her dress. The gown featured an open back, which always adds to a stunning "chic" style effect. Nonetheless, the real jaw-dropping moment was the presence of silver spikes aligned along her spine, resembling an exotic creature.
The whole "ensemble" looked strikingly realistic - the spikes appeared as if they were emerging from under her skin. As reported by People, applying such a visual effect on Ora's back took a whopping three hours. The singer enhanced the look with black stiletto sandals and silver jewelry. Regardless of her occasional fashion blunders in the past, this time she has definitely made a strong claim for the title of a true fashion icon.
