The recipe for a brilliant, colorful roast must be included among such culinary treasures. Here, you'll find only the best ingredients that even the choosiest eater won't refuse. Plus, you combine all the ingredients in one dish and let the oven do all the work. What more could you want?
With this meal, everyone's sure to leave the table satisfied and delighted!
Ingredients:
For the roast:
- About 1.5 lb turkey breast,
- ⅓ cup olive oil,
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika,
- 1 tablespoon dried garlic,
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano,
- 1 teaspoon caraway,
- 1.5 teaspoons of salt,
- ½ teaspoon of pepper.
Additional items:
- 10.5 oz bacon, sliced,
- ½ zucchini,
- 3 tomatoes,
- 9 slices of yellow cheese.
Preparation:
Step 1: Begin the recipe by preparing the turkey breast. Cut it into smaller pieces and pound each into a thin sheet using a meat tenderizer.
Step 2: Transfer the pounded meat into a large bowl, then coat it in olive oil, sweet paprika, dried garlic, caraway, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Step 3: Marinate the meat, then refrigerate it while you prepare the other ingredients. Thinly cut the zucchini and tomatoes.
Step 4: When you have prepared all the ingredients, arrange bacon slices at the bottom of a baking dish. Make sure the ends hang over the dish's edge.
Step 5: Layer sliced yellow cheese in the dish, followed by the marinated meat, zucchini, and tomatoes. Finally, season everything with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 6: Repeat the entire process, then top it with an additional layer of yellow cheese and fold the hanging bacon ends over the top. Cover everything with aluminum foil.
Place the prepared dish into an oven preheated to 374 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 1.5 hours. I recommend removing the foil towards the end of baking to allow the roast to brown on top.
Step 7: Garnish the finished roast with fresh parsley. Serve it with potatoes, grains, or rice. It pairs wonderfully with any side dish, so feel free to mix it up. Bon appetit!
