Chicken breast can be prepared in numerous delightful ways, yet this method stands out as my personal favorite. Enhancing the meat with a creative combination of cream cheese and select, simple spices has proven to be exceptionally delicious.

In gastronomy, it's commonly acknowledged that chicken, much like pizza, will forever hold its appeal. Many relish the succulent flavors of chicken fillet, appreciating its simplicity, enjoyment, and straightforwardness. However, this doesn't mean there isn't room for some ingenuity. A simple tweak can utterly transform the essence of a chicken breast.

Thus, chicken fillets can be marinated, made into roulades, or even — as in the case of cutlets de volaille — wrapped around butter and breaded. For me, the pinnacle of culinary creativity with poultry is stuffing it, and this is my preferred way to serve chicken breasts. I slice the meat and fill its center with a cream cheese mixture — simple yet immensely flavorful. Even my mother-in-law is a fan, which really speaks volumes!

Stuffed chicken breast

Ingredients:

  • 2 double chicken breasts,
  • 5.3 oz cream cheese,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • Flat-leaf parsley,
  • Chives,
  • Salt, pepper,
  • 1 tablespoon of oil,
  • Optionally: ingredients for breading.

How to prepare:

  1. I slice the chicken breasts in half and clean them, avoiding washing the meat since it's unnecessary and can potentially spread germs.
  2. Next, I score the fillets lengthwise to create a pocket and season the chicken with salt and pepper. Using chicken seasoning is another viable option.
  3. I finely chop the herbs and crush the garlic, combining them with the cream cheese. This blend is then used to stuff the chicken breasts.
  4. Afterwards, I place the meat in an ovenproof dish. While there is the option to fry the chicken after breading it, I prefer the simplicity of baking.
  5. To finish, I lightly drizzle oil over the chicken in the dish and bake it in a preheated oven at 356 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
