Revolution in Music Videos: AI Director Creates With Zero Set

Not long ago, watching music videos shot on smartphones was quite a novelty. Now, we've entered an era where music videos are created without traditional recording equipment.
In February of this year, OpenAI, the team behind the ChatGPT project, unveiled a new tool capable of generating realistic film sequences through text input. While Sora is not yet broadly accessible, it has been made available to a select group of filmmakers during its testing phase. The results of their efforts are now up for admiration.
Creating a music video with AI: A glimpse into the process
Director Paul Trillo was among those who had the chance to work with OpenAI. He crafted a music video for the song "The Hardest Part" by the American artist Washed Out, entirely with artificial intelligence.
This music video was not created by actors, cinematographers, or lighting technicians. Additionally, no physical set was used. Instead, every scene was generated by inputting detailed descriptions into the Sora system.
To mask artificial intelligence, Paul Trillo adopted a distinctive artistic technique. He skillfully concealed any technological imperfections by blending a retro style with highly dynamic, nearly chaotic camera movements. The final product is undeniably stunning.
In a March interview with the Wall Street Journal, Mira Murati, OpenAI's Chief Technology Officer, announced that Sora would be made publicly available later in the year.
