Revolution at airports. Changes in carry-on luggage

Until now, in the airplane, in carry-on luggage, we could take liquids in bottles with a capacity of 3.4 ounces. The total amount of liquids could not exceed 34 ounces. However, this is changing. It will be a revolution for passengers.

The first airport to decide to change the rules regarding the amount of liquids was London City Airport. From February at this airport in carry-on luggage, you can carry 0.52 gallons of liquids instead of 0.26. In addition, you no longer need to transfer them into 3.38-ounce bottles. All thanks to modern technology.

Other airports have done the same. Now, airports in Prague and Helsinki have also lifted these restrictions. The changes in limits have been joined by Milan-Linate airport and Fiumicino in Rome. The airport in Budapest also plans to implement such a solution.

Advanced CT scanners

These changes are possible thanks to new, advanced technology. CT scanners create a three-dimensional image of the bag's contents, not just a flat image as before.

This solution is designed to speed up checks at airports and prevent congestion of people who block the passage by pouring and counting the contents of their possessed liquids.

A certain TikTok user has listed airports that are also considering the introduction of CT scanners. These are set to be Barcelona, all airports in the UK, Shannon (Ireland), Dublin, Munich, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam.
