Taking care of indoor plants can be quite a challenge. Many of us would love to have beautiful and healthy flowers, but are unclear on how to properly care for them. Fortunately, there are quick, easy, and inexpensive methods that can genuinely revive your plants. All you need is a product you might already have in your kitchen cupboard. Just a teaspoon can do the job!

Homemade Fertilizer for Plants

Potted plants, especially young ones, require three vital ingredients: phosphorus, calcium, and potassium, all present in potato starch (or cornstarch). You can purchase this product virtually from any store to revive your plants and stimulate growth. Some plants may even sprout new buds.

How does this work? Begin by removing approximately 0.6 inches of soil from the pot with the plant and add a teaspoon of potato or corn starch to the center. Then, mix it thoroughly with the soil and cover with fresh soil. It's crucial to use fresh soil to avoid potential mold growth in the pot within a few days.

Important! Remember to water your flowers regularly. Fertilizer alone won't guarantee your plants maintain an appealing look.

This Will Help Them Grow Beautifully and Healthily

This trick is particularly useful when planting new plants. Consequently, they'll grow up beautiful and healthy since you've attended to their root system from the moment they are brought into your home. Why is this significant? A weak root system can affect the plant's appearance. Therefore, it's worth using fertilizers, particularly homemade and natural ones, which are cost-effective yet efficient.
