The Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evo II has an iconic status, being a legend of the 90s and one of the most instantly recognized models in the brand's lineage. In the present day, it is a desired classic, but its availability on the market is rapidly diminishing each passing year. For those unable to locate a suitable used car, purchasing a freshly built restomod could be a viable option.

HWA has recently revealed its plans to construct a modern interpretation of this legendary vehicle in close collaboration with Mercedes. Two promising sketches provide a glimpse of the project, however, a lot of details are still unreleased.

The upcoming model shows a hint of audacity in its design that extends beyond its predecessor. The significant splitter and the even more prominent spoiler add visual emphasis. The rims and wheel arches also appear larger, but will the real-life model match these projections?

The year 2025 will bring the answers. HWA aims to produce around 100 units. The estimated pricing for each unit will not be less than 714,000 euros (roughly $846,000).
