The Renegade failed to spark enough interest among American consumers, with sales dwindling year after year.

By the end of 2023, the Renegade will be officially phased out from the US market. Local consumers seeking a compact Jeep will need to consider the slightly larger Compass. Despite being marginally pricier, its popularity surpasses the Renegade's.

The Renegade didn't realize the success in the US as was expected. Rather, the interest in the model faced a continuous downtrend year after year. For instance, Jeep sold 97,062 Renegade units in the US in 2018, compared to just 27,549 units in 2022.

The dwindling popularity may not stem solely from the incongruity with American preferences, but potentially also the outdated design. The model was launched eight years ago. However, Jeep intends to continue offering the model in Mexico and Europe, where it has been well-received.
