Changes to the Renault Austral

The Austral, which launched in 2022, distinguished itself in its category by offering a manual transmission option, a rarity. Initially available with a 1.3 TCe petrol engine that produced 140 horsepower and featured a mild hybrid system, this version has been discontinued, along with its manual transmission.

The range now starts with a more robust, albeit pricier, 1.3 TCe mHEV engine that produces 160 horsepower, paired with an automatic transmission. An alternative is the full hybrid model, which delivers 200 horsepower from a 1.2-litre engine. The updated prices are detailed below.

Minimum prices for Renault Austral drive versions

  • 1.3 TCE mHEV 160 HP CVT - starting at approximately $37,452
  • 1.2 E-Tech full hybrid 200 HP MMT - starting at approximately $44,025
