Redefining the Game. Volkswagen and Ford team up for the revolutionary electric Transporter T7

Following the debut of the ID. Buzz and the related Multivan, it's time for another member of the new Volkswagen family of utility vehicles - the Transporter T7. This model is destined to be significantly distinct not only from its siblings but also from its predecessors.

This difference predominantly stems from its close relationship with the Ford Transit Custom. It marks the third Volkswagen model (after the Caddy and Amarok) to be developed as part of this partnership. While Volkswagen will be responsible for individual styling and equipment features, there will be numerous technical similarities.

One of the main benefits of this collaboration is not only a reduction in manufacturing costs but also the availability of a diverse range of drives. It will offer the new Transporter T7 in electric, plug-in hybrid, and diesel variants.

Additionally, we have learned that customers can choose between two lengths and two body heights. They will also be able to select from additional constructions, a traditional cab, and the more personal Kombi and Caravelle versions.

More details are expected to be unveiled soon, as Volkswagen is gradually gearing up to start accepting orders. It's planning for the market launch in the spring of 2024.
