Record voter turnout in France's second round of elections
The voter turnout in the second round of early parliamentary elections in France at 11:00 AM ET was 59.71% - reported the Ministry of the Interior in Paris on Sunday. This is the highest rate since 1981.

The turnout at 11:00 AM ET on Sunday is slightly higher than in the first round of the elections, which took place on June 30. At that time, by 11:00 AM ET, 59.39% of the French had voted.
Elections in France: Last hours of voting
The final hours of voting are ongoing. Polling stations will close at 12:00 PM ET outside major cities, where voting will end at 2:00 PM ET. Exit poll data can only be published after all polling stations are closed.
The second round of elections will determine whether the far-right National Rally (RN), which led after the first round, will be able to secure an absolute majority in parliament (at least 289 seats) and form a government.
