Being a reality show participant, she took it upon herself to strive for her health from all angles. In one of the episodes, she paid a visit to a gynecology office with a suspicion of being pregnant. Nonetheless, the truth unfolded quite differently, and indeed remarkably.

She was required to remove an IUD in 2016

Tammy Slaton candidly confessed that she had not removed her intrauterine device (a contraceptive method) for 12 years due to her obesity. Confronting such a circumstance, the gynecologist promptly scheduled a procedure to remove the IUD, stressing that ignoring such a situation poses serious health risks.

She feared of potential pregnancy

The TLC star confessed that she hadn't had her period for a prolonged period, which led her to suspect pregnancy. Nonetheless, the doctor clarified that the absence of menstruation implies the absence of ovulation, eliminating the possibility of fertilization. In an attempt to reassure Tammy, the doctor suggested her cycle might return if she continues her weight loss journey.
