It's been two years since the premiere of the latest installment of James Bond's cinematic adventures, "No Time to Die" (2021). Fortunately, the spirit of Agent 007 will return, this time on the small screen, in an Amazon Prime Video production. What do we know about the reality show?

Amazon Prime Video has released a trailer for the show "007: Road to a Million", in which the host, Brian Cox, appears to be pulling the strings. It's him who will stand in the way of the participants whose task will be to take part in competitions inspired by the adventures of Her Majesty's Agent.

The announcement date of the new production is not coincidental. October 5 has been established as James Bond Day in memory of the premiere of the first screenplay of Ian Fleming's novel. "Dr No" from 1962 with Sean Connery in the lead role kicked off a good series in the history of cinema. A highlight of the trailer is the use of a classic musical theme associated with 007.

"007: Road to a Million": What is the program about?

Nine pairs of participants took part in the Amazon Prime Video production. In the teaser, we already see sample tasks with which they will have to face: climbing a tall crane, walking on the roof of a speeding train or driving a classic Aston Martin on a winding road in the mountains. These places are not random - they are iconic images from the James Bond films.

Participants in the competition initially receive a titular million pounds into their account. The difficulty is in keeping this amount. Any bend of the knee will result in the end of the game and the loss of money.

After playing Logan Roy in "Succession," Brian Cox once again takes on a strong character role - the Controller, who has hidden ten questions and puzzles around the world. He acts as a kind of game master: setting tasks, dictating the direction to follow, and posing questions. He monitors the actions of the participants and seems to derive pleasure from their difficulties.

"007: The Road to a Million": when is the premiere?

Amazon bought the rights to the series from MGM for $8.45 billion in 2021. Since then, it has been wondered in what direction the iconic franchise will now head. The search for an actor to replace Daniel Craig in future installments is still ongoing.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, produced by the people responsible for the film series, including Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the reality show will premiere on November 10th on Amazon Prime Video.
