While FC Barcelona lost to Leganes 0-1, Real Madrid players, including Antonio Ruediger, attended an event organized by Toni Kroos in Munich. Ruediger learned about Blaugrana's defeat to the "Cucumbers" and reacted with laughter, showing the match result to the camera. The German's reaction became an internet sensation.

Barcelona, despite the loss, maintained its lead position, but its situation in the standings became more complicated.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid, with Ruediger as one of the key figures, continues to battle for top positions in the league, trailing Hansi Flick's team by just one point and having played one fewer match. Blaugrana was tied in points with Atletico Madrid, which has the same number of points as them but, like Los Blancos, has played one fewer match.

Ruediger, who has played 24 matches and scored two goals this La Liga season, did not hide his satisfaction with the rivals' result. If Real Madrid wins the postponed match against Valencia, and Atletico maintains its winning trend, the situation in the standings will change. Only Atletico and Blaugrana will swap positions, and Real Madrid will be second.

The situation is especially interesting because, on December 21, FC Barcelona will host Diego Simeone's energetic team, which last lost on October 27 in an away match against Real Betis. This game will be significant for the standings at the end of 2024.
