Heritage Auctions will oversee the sale of the 12-card set, which experts estimate could fetch up to 400 thousand dollars. The cards were first released by the Star Company in 1984.

The high price is mostly due to the presence of the Michael Jordan card, considered one of the most valuable pieces of memorabilia associated with his career with the Chicago Bulls. This card precedes the sought-after 1986 Fleer rookie card.

The card features Jordan during an attempt to rebound the ball in his first NBA season. It is in "near mint" condition, with a PSA grade of 8.5.

The other cards in the set feature Jordan's teammates from the 1984/85 season. Their condition ranges from "excellent-mint" to "near-mint".

The auction will start on January 24th. Collectors should start preparing their funds now.
