Apples are a true treasure of some orchards. They are already falling from the trees, lining up in a delicious alley. The obvious choice for using them in the kitchen is to prepare an apple pie, one of our most popular baked goods. However, it's worth trying an even more straightforward and quicker dessert recipe.

A simple apple cake with oil is the perfect dessert when you don't have much time, and guests or in-laws are about to arrive. The ingredients are everyday household staples, preparation is quick, and the aroma of the baking cake will fill your entire home. Such a dessert is simply irresistible.

Apple cake with oil

This is the best recipe for a quick and inexpensive cake. Apples are easily available, and buying them won't break the bank. Instead of butter, this cake uses oil.

Oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, especially omega-3 acids. Cakes made with rapeseed oil are usually lighter and more moist than those made with butter. Additionally, it’s ready to use immediately; there's no need to melt it like butter, making the cake preparation faster.

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 cups of wheat flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 3/4 cup of oil
  • 2.2 pounds of apples
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them with the sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add the sifted flour, baking powder, and baking soda to the beaten eggs. Mix gently.
  3. Pour the oil into the batter and mix.
  4. Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into eighths. Add to the batter and mix gently.
  5. Grease a baking tin with dimensions of 9.5 × 11 inches.
  6. Transfer the batter to the prepared tin and place it in the preheated oven.
  7. Bake for about 40 minutes at 350°F.

After baking and cooling, sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar. You can also add a bit of ground cinnamon, as its flavor pairs beautifully with apples. Enjoy!
