The wife of King Abdullah II of Jordan is anticipating the birth of a child. The 53-year-old reminded everyone that the beloved wife of her eldest son, Hussein, is pregnant and posted a photo from a maternity session.
The royal family awaits another descendant
The King and Queen of Jordan eagerly await their first grandchild's birth. Their eldest son and heir to the throne, Prince Hussein, and his wife, Princess Rajwa, are expecting a child. The royal couple announced the good news in April, but only now did the future grandmother decide to share a charming photo from her daughter-in-law's maternity session.
On June 28, Prince Hussein celebrates his 30th birthday, and on this occasion, Queen Rania decided to post a photo of him and his beloved on Instagram. In the picture, the prince tenderly embraces Princess Rajwa. The expectant mother appears glowing in a fitted, cream-colored dress, and her hair falls in soft waves.
"Happy birthday my dearest Hussein. Can’t wait to see you and Rajwa as parents!," wrote the Queen of Jordan.
A fairy tale love story
Rania met her beloved in 1993 when she was invited to a party organized by Princess Aisha. Prince Abdullah, the future king of Jordan, noticed Rania immediately and fell in love at first sight. At first, the young brunette kept the heir to the throne at a distance, but the prince quickly won her over. Six months after their first meeting, they got married.
The King and Queen of Jordan have four children, the eldest of whom, Hussein, was born in 1994. Two years later, Iman was born, then Salma in 2000, and their youngest child, Hashem, joined the family in 2005.
It's worth noting that Queen Rania emphasizes that she is a Muslim woman who actively advocates for women's equality. Instead of traditional attire, she opts for modern clothing. For years, she has been fighting stereotypes about the Middle East and the situation of women in the region.
