Queen Camilla's health woes continue amid royal duties pause
Queen Camilla is still experiencing health issues. Due to a severe respiratory infection that she has been battling for almost a month, she did not accompany her husband, King Charles III, during the official welcoming of the delegation from Qatar in the United Kingdom.
In early November, Buckingham Palace stated Queen Camilla's health. According to the statement, the wife of King Charles III has been struggling with a respiratory infection.
"Her Majesty the Queen is currently resting and, according to medical advice, refraining from official duties," said Buckingham Palace in a statement published by the Daily Mail.
"With deep regret, she had to cancel her engagements for this week but hopes to recover quickly before the weekend's events. The Queen apologizes to all who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result," read the statement.
Queen Camilla is not in the best shape
Although nearly a month has passed since the statement was issued, Queen Camilla has not yet returned to her royal duties. According to the latest information from "People" magazine, she is experiencing side effects from a severe respiratory infection. For this reason, she did not participate in the Buckingham Palace reception for the delegation on December 3rd: the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.
As reported by "People," after battling the infection, Queen Camilla "has limited energy resources." She will join King Charles III, Prince William, Duchess Kate, and the Qatari delegation for lunch inside Buckingham Palace. During their two-day visit to the United Kingdom, she will meet them for a commemorative photograph and to bid them farewell.
Queen Camilla must return to her duties
A month-long break from royal duties is an exceptionally long period without work for Queen Camilla. Given that her calendar is fully booked, the Queen must slowly return to her duties. It is known that on December 4th, she will participate in presenting the British-French Entente Litteraire awards for young writers. The event will also feature the First Lady of France, Brigitte Macron.
