According to the Center, Putin's first son with Kabaeva, Ivan, was born in 2015. The second son, Vladimir, was born in 2019. The Dossier received documents on this matter from a person working at Putin's residence. It is emphasized that this person often sees Putin's children.
Putin's children travel on private airplanes and yachts associated with Putin. The Federal Protective Service (FSO) ensures their safety. They do not appear in public places and live in presidential residences.
$8200 per month
According to the investigation, a center in Valdai was opened specifically for Ivan and Vladimir. Governesses attended to them, and teachers were sought via the English Nanny portal.
The Dossier found one of the advertisements. A teacher for the young Putin would work 60 hours over five days a week in the St. Petersburg area. Responsibilities would also include accompanying them on trips—salary—$8200 per month. English Nanny emphasizes that it has been cooperating with the family for a long time and has found them teachers of English and German.
After the invasion of Ukraine, the children’s teachers include English-language educators from South Africa, which Russian authorities regard as a "friendly country." Children are also said to be learning.
Educators who agree to cooperate cannot leave the residence and must "live in isolation."
Employed as hospital translators
Putin's children's teachers are to receive salaries through a clinic in St. Petersburg, where Wagner Group fighters injured on foreign missions, including in Ukraine, are treated.
According to the Dossier, at least 10 foreign teachers have signed contracts with the clinic since 2020. Formally, they provide translation services for the facility, but their salaries are significantly higher. Salaries range from $3400 to over $12,500 per month.
One of the teachers, a 32-year-old Bosnian teacher of German, earned over 25 million rubles (over $270,000) over the past four years and was said to have received a large loan.
The teaching staff does not have contact with the children's parents. Orders are received from family assistants. Kabaeva's cousin, Oksana Fedina, is said to pretend to be Ivan and Vladimir's mother in front of the nannies.
According to the Dossier, Ivan plays hockey, sometimes with his father. He reportedly participates in gymnastics competitions, but the exact locations have not been disclosed.
Putin has never admitted he has sons
The Swiss "Sonntags Zeitung" had previously reported that Putin and Kabaeva have two sons. One was said to have been born in Switzerland, and the other in Moscow, but under the care of a Swiss doctor.
Putin has never publicly admitted to having sons, although he has indicated that his family has children. He once even mentioned that the youngest members of his family are learning Chinese.
In 2013, Putin divorced his wife but never admitted to having an affair with Alina Kabaeva. In 2022, Britain and the United States imposed sanctions on Putin's lover.
