Putin’s new ‘peace’ deal demands Ukraine withdraws, lifts sanctions
Bizarre words from Putin have surfaced again in the Kremlin. "Today we are offering [Kyiv] another concrete, genuine peace proposal," the Russian dictator stated. He emphasized that "the new Russian peace proposal does not aim to freeze the conflict but to resolve it completely."
Many of the information provided by Russian media or government officials is part of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.
"Ukrainian troops must withdraw from the entire territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions – only then will Russia be ready to negotiate," stated Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Putin sets bizarre conditions
"The new Russian peace proposal does not aim to freeze the conflict but to resolve it completely," said Putin. "I will emphasize the most important. The essence of our proposal is not some temporary truce or ceasefire, as the West wants, to make up for losses, rearm the regime in Kyiv, and prepare it for a new offensive. I repeat, we are not talking about freezing the conflict but about its final resolution," he said.
"Of course, this also entails the lifting of all Western sanctions against Russia," Putin continued.
He added that "the status of Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson as regions of Russia should be established in international treaties."
"If Kyiv and the West reject the new peace proposal, further conditions will be different," he thundered.
