Many statements disseminated by the Russian media or government officials turn out to be elements of propaganda, as they are part of the information war waged by the Russian Federation.
"The future of Russia is contingent on the combat readiness of our troops participating in a unique military operation," observed Putin, referring to the war in Ukraine. This statement was reported by RIA Novosti, a state-owned news agency.
He further reflected, "The reality of life on the frontlines, where bullets fly overhead, is far more intense than toasting champagne while rewarding heroes in the Kremlin."
The powerful leader announced plans to visit the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories once the situation becomes "a bit calmer". He emphatically stated, "I definitely have such a plan."
Putin also claimed that the West is purportedly trying to "sideline Russia and weaken it." He thundered, "Their ultimate goal is to crush us. But they will never succeed. Never."
