The Russian leader made a statement to the media, summarizing the international events he participated in over the past few days, in connection with the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. He devoted the second part of his speech to the war in Ukraine.

He accused Kyiv of breaking the Easter truce, stating that the Easter truce initiated by Russia was not upheld. According to him, the ceasefire was violated by Ukrainian forces almost 5,000 times.

He also addressed the moratorium on attacks on energy facilities, saying that the Kyiv regime demonstratively violated the 30-day moratorium on attacks on energy facilities approximately 130 times, from March 18 to April 17, which was announced in accordance with agreement with US President Donald Trump.

Russians break agreements

As a result of talks between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, an agreement was reached to halt attacks on energy infrastructure by both Russia and Ukraine.

However, the Russians repeatedly broke this agreement. An example is the attack on the energy infrastructure of the Sumy region. At the same time, Russia continues attacks on civilian facilities in Ukraine.
