The use of pumpkin in skincare

Pumpkin is a vegetable especially associated with the fall season. During this time, it not only decorates our homes or serves as an ingredient in popular pumpkin soup but can also be an excellent nutritional benefit for our complexion. Its versatile use has also been found in cosmetics, as its properties benefit our skin.

Pumpkin is a vitamin bomb that contains a range of microelements and minerals that positively affect our body. For the skin, the vitamin A it contains, among others, delays the aging process, maintains proper skin hydration, and smooths it. It is also helpful in fighting imperfections and blemishes. Another important ingredient is vitamin E, also known as the "youth vitamin." Thanks to it, the skin becomes firmer and more elastic, reducing fine wrinkles. Additionally, the zinc it contains can regulate sebum secretion and help normalize oily skin.

Pumpkin is a vegetable we can use to make a natural and ecological cosmetic in literally a few moments. It's also a much cheaper alternative to expensive store products. This method can be modified according to your own needs. Here is a recipe for a standard pumpkin mask that will make your face radiant, smooth, and rejuvenated.

1. First, bake the pumpkin until it is soft and collect its valuable contents.

2. Then, put it in a blender and blend it into a smooth and even paste.

3. For added effect, consider adding a bit of cinnamon, turmeric, and honey to our paste.

4. Additionally, you can add a few teaspoons of natural yogurt, depending on how much pulp you have. The lactic acid will moisturize the skin and smooth wrinkles.

5. Mix everything thoroughly, then apply it to the face, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for a maximum of 20 minutes.

6. Before using this mask, it's a good idea to do a patch test to make sure you're not allergic to any of the ingredients. Apply the product to a small patch of skin, wash it off, and wait for a day. If no allergic reactions occur after this time, you can safely use this method.
