It quickly satisfies the appetite, and I don't spend much time preparing it. All it takes is a few simple ingredients and a short time in the kitchen to create an aromatic snack that will delight all fans. You can add ingredients like onion, bell pepper, or corn to the filling.
Ingredients:
- 1 package puff pastry,
- 4 oz favorite sliced ham,
- 3-4 mushrooms,
- 4 oz sliced yellow cheese (I recommend Gouda, Edam, or Muenster),
- 4 pickles,
- 1 egg,
- sesame seeds (optional),
- 3 tablespoons honey mustard.
Instructions:
- Unroll the puff pastry sheet on the counter. It's best to take it out of the fridge about 15 minutes beforehand. When it reaches room temperature, it will be pliable and will not crumble.
- Spread the honey mustard on the pastry.
- Layer the slices of ham, cheese, and mushrooms, and add the pickles cut into long slices.
- Tightly roll up the pastry so the ingredients don't fall out during baking.
- Brush the puff pastry with the beaten egg. This will allow it to become appetizingly golden during baking. You can also sprinkle it with white or black sesame seeds.
- Bake in the oven, preheated to 350°F for about 20 minutes, until the pastry is golden and crispy.
Cut the finished roll into slices. It tastes great both warm and cold. Enjoy!
