Gold bikini from Star Wars worn by Carrie Fisher sold
Fisher appeared in just a few scenes in the gold bikini at the beginning of Episode VI of "Star Wars." First in Jabba's palace, then on the ship in the desert. The princess eventually freed herself from the chains after strangling the disgusting gangster with them.
That was enough for the outfit to become legendary. Carrie Fisher talked about wearing the bikini in 2015. She admitted that she questioned George Lucas about the gold bikini because, as she stated, it exposed her to "occasional wardrobe malfunctions." The actress also explained that she liked using the chain to kill Jabba The Hutt.
They asked me if I wanted the person who was my body double and stunt double to kill him. But I wanted it to be me. I cut his throat with that chain. I really wanted to kill him - Carrie Fisher said in an interview with the Daily Beast.
Princess Leia's set, including rings and hip bracelets, was sold on Friday, July 26 at an auction in Dallas (United States) for $175,000. The auction house did not reveal who the buyer of the legendary gold bikini is.
