Prince William's emotional reveal: Kate and Charles's health fight
It is no secret that the past few months have been exceptionally difficult for the British royals. Both King Charles III and Duchess Kate have been battling tough illnesses. They have been strongly supported by Prince William, who has now made an emotional confession.
The past few months have certainly not been kind to the British royals. In February, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III is battling cancer and must focus on his recovery. Shortly thereafter, Duchess Kate revealed in a memorable statement that she received an equally devastating diagnosis and will undergo chemotherapy.
Important words from Prince William: concerning his wife's and father's illnesses
The situation seems to have improved since then, and the family's life is slowly improving. In the meantime, Prince William took on many responsibilities, supporting his loved ones in their battle against illness. Kate Middleton's husband now openly acknowledges that this was a challenging time for him, and in a new statement, he revealed his "human" side.
William has been diligently fulfilling his royal duties, including hosting in South Africa, where he led the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony. At the end of the visit, he had the opportunity to speak with reporters. One of the topics discussed was the return to health of his wife and father, and William made a moving confession, as reported by BBC.
It's been dreadful. It's probably been the hardest year in my life. So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.
At the same time, he expressed pride in Kate and Charles for handling the past few difficult months.
I'm so proud of my wife, I'm proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it's been brutal.
