While rumors persist in the media about Prince William's alleged affair, he is often considered a role model in many spheres. As King Charles III's older son, he typically abides by the stringent court protocol, aware of his responsibilities as the prospective monarch.

A close relative of Prince William recently uncovered the secret surrounding the Prince of Wales's relationship with alcohol and his not-so-tourist-friendly nickname.

The revelation of the heir to the thrones' private nickname

Mike Tindall, husband to Prince William's cousin and a former rugby player, was a recent guest on the "Local Seven" podcast. The program, hosted by renowned athlete Rob Burrow, witnessed Tindall confirm some rumored aspects of the royals' lives.

It turns out that those close to Prince William use a specific nickname that he doesn't precisely cherish. Mike divulged that the Prince of Wales is occasionally called "One Pint Willy." The nickname originates from a mere pint of beer being enough to get King Charles’s son tipsy.

The heir to the throne was far from amused

Unsurprisingly, William was not amused by this nickname revelation. During an interview with BBC, the heir to the throne expressed his displeasure with his cousin's husband's indiscretion. Mike Tindall had to apologize for revealing such an awkward secret.

- "He apologized to me. I thought, 'Mike, when you say you aren't going to mention anyone's nicknames, that includes my nickname. It's not fair,'" the prospective King recounted.
