Prince Harry returns to London for ailing King Charles III, but reunion with brother Prince William remains uncertain
Prince Harry was informed about King Charles III's cancer diagnosis shortly before the official announcement by Buckingham Palace. The son of the monarch decided to return to his homeland immediately. On Tuesday, Meghan Markle's husband landed at London's Heathrow Airport after an 11-hour flight on British Airways from California.
The younger son of the king has already met with his ailing father at Clarence House. It's unclear how long Harry plans to stay in the UK. Originally, it was believed that the prince's arrival would serve as an opportunity to mend family ties. Sadly, while a conversation with his father has taken place, reconciliation between the brothers seems unlikely.
Prince Harry is not expected to meet with Prince William during his London visit
According to the "Daily Mail", palace sources have denied that a meeting between the two princes was scheduled. Prince William reportedly has no intention of seeing Harry. The future king is currently occupied with looking after his children and Kate, who is recuperating from abdominal surgery.
Importantly, Prince William is set to return to his royal duties on Wednesday, leading an investiture at Windsor Castle, before attending the London Air Ambulance Service gala that evening. As the tabloid reports, Meghan Markle's husband would willingly visit his brother if the opportunity presented itself.
The primary reason for the prince's journey to the UK is to visit his ailing father. Nevertheless, if an opportunity to meet the Prince of Wales emerged, the prince would gladly seize it - said a close acquaintance of Harry to the "Daily Mail".
