Dark clouds are looming over the royal family as Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles III was diagnosed with cancer during his recent hospital visit. The specifics of his condition remain undisclosed, but the news was alarming enough for Prince Harry to hastily board a plane to be at his father's side.
Prince Harry spent around 45 minutes with the King at Clarence House. Queen Camilla, who has reportedly been at odds with King Charles's younger son, was also present during the visit.
Did Prince Harry avoid meeting with Camilla?
Prince Harry's unfavorable views of Queen Camilla have surfaced in both his biography "Spare" and in the documentary series "Harry and Meghan" on Netflix. He had initially discouraged his father from marrying Camilla, predicting she would treat him poorly, and their relationship hasn't improved since.
The Telegraph reported that Prince Harry is uncomfortable in the presence of Queen Camilla. Petronella Wyatt tells the news outlet that the situation was so intense that Prince Harry didn't want to share a room with her during his visit to Great Britain.
"I heard that Harry didn't want to be in the same room as his stepmother. He wanted to discuss his father's cancer diagnosis in private," shared a British journalist and friend of Queen Camilla.
