PR and communication expert, Barry Maher, also a Montecito resident, shared his perspective. He believes people are tired of the "soap opera" perpetuated by Harry and Meghan. As "The Mirror" reports, the couple reportedly keep to themselves, maintaining minimum interaction with their neighbors. According to an inside source, there are two main reasons behind the local friction, both linked to a broader issue of disruption.

"Harry and Meghan live across the street in a much more luxurious home than the rest of us, although no one in this neighborhood lives in squalor. Their aloofness seems to mirror their general public perception in the US. The ones who like them exhibit an unlimited tolerance level, irrespective of the Sussexes' actions. They are charmed by the 'handsome prince falling in love with an ordinary girl' narrative. The rest are either unimpressed with the entire 'soap opera', or have grown tired of always hearing about them", revealed an insider to "The Mirror".

According to reports, if these tabloid rumors hold water, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning to sell their Montecito property, valued at $14.7 million, and shift to Malibu. Their prospective new home is reportedly a slightly more modest residence, worth a little over $4 million.
