In Patras, an unusual incident took place, culminating in police intervention. A man, who is the son of a local clergyman, was arrested after he fired shots into the air during a dispute over a parking space.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening in the city center on Gambeta Street, as reported by the Greek portal tempo24.news. According to the source, the shots were fired following a fight between drivers over a parking space.

The man who discharged the weapon was taken into custody early Wednesday morning at his home in western Achaia. According to the Greek portal, he is a 25-year-old identified by police shortly after the incident.

Unable to find an empty parking spot, he decided to resolve the issue in an extraordinary manner. The shots caused panic among passers-by.

Police located the suspect and visited his residence on Wednesday morning while he was still asleep. During the search, officers found the weapon he used, along with another firearm, a taser, and ammunition.
