Mini potato roses paired with a delightful sauce will be an absolute hit at your home. There's just no two ways about it
Ingredients:
For mini roses:
- 2 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons of salt
- 1/2 cup of cornstarch
For the sauce:
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup of ketchup
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of wine vinegar
Preparation:
Step 1: Start with preparing the potatoes. Peel them first, then slice into thin pieces.
Step 2: Next, place the potato slices into a large bowl. Sprinkle salt on them and rinse them under cold water, then allow them to rest for a while. This soaking process will make the potato slices soft and pliable.
Step 3: While the potatoes are resting, it's time to prepare the homemade sauce. Over a heated stove, mix vegetable oil, ketchup, soy sauce, sugar, and wine vinegar. Blend it well with a kitchen whisk.
Step 4: It's time to return to the potato slices. Drain and dry them before coating each slice with potato starch. After ensuring they are thoroughly coated, twist the sliced potatoes into mini rose shapes, secure with toothpicks and deep-fry in hot oil.
Step 5: When the potato roses acquire a golden hue, serve hot with the previously prepared sauce. Spring some chopped parsley over these appetizing snacks for eye-catching decoration. Bon Appétit!
