This one-of-a-kind model hails from 1989, and comes to us from the hands of experts from the "Sonderwunsch" department, best known for fulfilling special customer requests. For this masterpiece, the client requested a sleek front-end redesign, including entirely new headlights in place of the classic round ones.
In response to the buyer's design preferences, Porsche delivered the world's only flat-nosed 928 GT, more commonly known as a "Flachbau". But the customizations didn’t stop there. The buyer also selected the XB2 and XC1 packages, which tacked on body extensions, aerodynamic mirrors, and rims with extended offsets.
Remarkably, since the day it rolled off the assembly line, this car has remained with its original owner, who has meticulously maintained its mechanical condition with regular servicing. The car's current odometer reading stands at 56,636 km (around 35,201 miles), but it is worth noting that this isn't exact, given the odometer was replaced in 2003 when it was approximately 11,500 km (about 7,145 miles).
With a remarkable 330-horsepower, five-liter V8 engine, this extraordinary classic is set to be the star attraction in the January auction at RM Sotheby's in Paris. Bidders can expect a starting price tag ranging from $200,000 to $300,000.
