These Pork Pouches with Delicious Stuffing Will be Memorable
Ingredients:
Primary Ingredients:
- 6 slices of pork,
- 6 teaspoons of mustard,
- 1 tablespoon of colorful garlic,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- 1 teaspoon of pepper,
- 2.12 oz of smoked bacon.
Stuffing:
- 7 oz of smoked bacon,
- 1 pickled cucumber,
- 1 onion,
- 1/2 head of cabbage,
- 1 tablespoon of dried marjoram,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 3.38 fl oz of pickle juice.
Roux:
- 2 tablespoons of butter,
- 2 tablespoons of wheat flour.
Preparation method:
Step 1. Begin by preparing the stuffing for the pork pouches. Chop the bacon into small pieces and fry it for a few minutes in a heated frying pan. Shortly after, add the finely chopped onion.
Step 2. Once the ingredients in the pan take on a golden hue, add the remaining ingredients: peeled and pressed garlic, finely chopped pickled cucumber, dried marjoram, finely chopped cabbage, and pickle juice. Stew everything for around 10 minutes.
Step 3. Meanwhile, prepare a homemade roux by combining melted butter with flour. Add the roux to the pan.
Mix the contents in the pan thoroughly and heat it for 2-3 minutes. After this period, remove the pan from the stove and make ready for the next step of the recipe.
Step 4. Cut the pork into smaller slices and flatten each piece with a meat tenderizer. Brush mustard over the flattened meat. Next, place the prepared stuffing at the center of each piece of meat.
Step 5. Wrap the extended portions upwards to form a pouch and secure the setup with a toothpick.
Step 6. Place the prepared pouches into a baking dish. Add a piece of smoked bacon atop each pouch. Season the dish with salt, pepper, and colorful garlic. Finally, bake the pouches in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, at 356 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 7. Serve the finished pouches with your preferred sides. Whether it's potatoes, rice, grits, or green lettuce, any will complement this dish fabulously. Bon Appétit!
