According to Vatican sources in their evening communication, the health condition of Pope Francis has improved.

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that Pope Francis, who has bilateral pneumonia, continues with oxygen therapy and is sitting in a chair. He is said to be in a good mood.

It was also mentioned that the Pope is aware of what's happening, particularly concerning the prayer initiatives of the faithful on his behalf.

A rosary prayer for the health of the Pope will be led by Cardinal Baldassare Reina, the Vicar General of the Diocese of Rome, on Thursday at 3 PM at St. Peter's Square.

Francis at the Gemelli Clinic

The Pope was admitted to the Gemelli Clinic on February 14. Initially, it was reported that he was suffering from bronchitis, which later developed into bilateral pneumonia.

The original plan was for the Pope to remain at the Gemelli Polyclinic until March 2. However, his condition worsened, and doctors have only recently noticed a slight improvement. Even after his return to the Vatican, Pope Francis will have to continue long-term treatment.
