Poland boosts Lithuania's search for missing US soldiers
Poland has sent approximately 30 soldiers to Lithuania to support a search and rescue operation. Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz assures Poland is ready to provide further assistance, including delivering heavy equipment.

Poland dispatched approximately 30 soldiers to Lithuania to participate in the search and rescue operation.
“We are prepared to support our Allies. Polish troops and heavy equipment are heading to Lithuania,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. However, this support depends on the Lithuanian side's decision.
The General Commander of the Armed Forces has formed a special military task group named Hercules to support these actions.
Kosiniak-Kamysz highlighted that the military task group Hercules, established specifically for this mission, has access to around 15 different types of vehicles.
Tragedy in Lithuania. Search efforts are ongoing
Four American soldiers went missing during exercises at the Lithuanian training ground in Podbrodze. Despite media reports, their deaths have not been confirmed. The tracked vehicle the Americans were using was found in the mud, and efforts to retrieve it are ongoing.
Lithuanian Defense Minister Dovile Szakaliene thanked Poland for its involvement and readiness to help. Kosiniak-Kamysz conveyed her thanks, noting that the search operation continues with Lithuanian and foreign military personnel participating in the efforts.
