Plus-size model Gracie Bon claims airlines ban over weight
Model Gracie Bon, known for her presence on Instagram, claims she has been "banned" by airlines because of her weight. Due to this, she has to resort to using private jets. "It’s time to stop body shame," she emphasized in her social media appeal.

Gracie gained international recognition after accusing Disneyland visitors of mocking her body. The tourists were reportedly taking photos of her and laughing at her curves.
"It’s time to stop body shame. We’re all different shapes and sizes and that’s what makes us unique," she emphasized in her social media appeal. The model does not hide her folds, cellulite, and stretch marks. She's advocating for a change in attitude towards body diversity and for adapting public places, such as airplanes, for larger individuals.
The model flies private jets
Gracie Bon claims she was forced to fly private jets after allegedly being banned from using commercial airlines. As the model explains, when she tried to use traditional airlines, she had to pay for two or even three seats to accommodate her hips.
The model has campaigned for larger airplane seats, but according to her, carriers have reacted negatively to her appeals.
She stated it was not "her fault" how her body looks, calling for more inclusivity in air travel. Unfortunately, flying private jets is now her only solution. On her Instagram, Gracie showcased snippets of luxurious travel, highlighting the private plane's amenities.
Body shaming remains a widespread issue
Body shaming, or criticizing someone’s appearance, has gained significant attention lately. It can involve comments about not only weight but also other aspects of appearance, such as clothing, hair, or makeup.
The problem of body shaming is not limited to social environments. According to a 2019 report, over three-fifths of adults have encountered comments about their weight during doctor visits, particularly those considered obese.
Gracie Bon regularly faces criticism, including suspicions of numerous plastic surgeries. While fans defend the influencer, critical voices in the comments suggest that the changes in her appearance are the result of numerous procedures.
"It's your fault, you chose those surgeries," netizens accuse her. Gracie Bon, however, has not directly confirmed whether she has undergone the surgeries she is suspected of.
