Fall is a time when the battle with bothersome insects and arachnids intensifies. It's when they're most likely to invade our homes and try to settle in. As soon as we see them, however, it's worth it to act quickly to get rid of them. The sooner we do this, the better for us and our peace of mind.

How to get rid of spiders?

Spiders can appear anywhere - even in apartments and houses that are cleaned every moment. However, there is a simple way to get rid of them without spending too much money. If you have a wine cork that you no longer need, all you have to do is buy some peppermint oil for it. This trick will work in no time.

What exactly needs to be done? Soak a wine cork in peppermint oil and leave it by the doors. If you know that there are other places in the apartment where there are spiders, do this with more corks. Place them everywhere you have seen them.

These methods work on spiders

To prevent the appearance of spiders in your home, you can also try other methods that are equally effective and will cause them to avoid places where pepper grows.

As it turns out, spiders are also repelled by three other scents: lemon, eucalyptus, and cinnamon. So, you can try a trick in your home with essential oils of these scents, pouring them, for example, into an air freshener or sprinkling your potted plants with cinnamon, which is the perfect scent for the fall-winter season.

You can also use cinnamon in its entirety, placing whole spice sticks at the doors and corners in the apartment. Then no spider will even try to appear.
