Pink's life fell apart back in elementary school. She turned to drugs, and shortly afterward, she also began dealing with them. Eventually, she overdosed.

Pink's, aka Alecia Moore, music career has been going on for almost 30 years. During this time, she has sold over 300 million records worldwide and won three Grammy Awards. She also acts in films for fun. In "Thanks For Sharing," she played a sex addict who is trying to control her desires. She had no major issues stepping into the character of Dede, as she knows the essence of addiction from her own experience.

Every addiction comes from the same monster, it just wears different masks - she stated at the movie premiere.

Pink fell into drugs due to family problems and her parents' divorce.

I grew up in a house where parents yelled at each other daily, throwing various objects. They hated each other - she said in the "60 minutes" program.

The vocalist started getting intoxicated as a 12-year-old. In school, she was a loner, living from party to party. No one in the clubs cared how old she was. Besides, most of the kids, as she recalled, had fake IDs anyway.

I was like a "rave" candy. I just wanted to get high. I was wild and heading for a downfall. It was natural for me then that I started "dealing" ecstasy and methamphetamine - she recently confessed.

The turning point for Pink was a dramatic event that occured during Thanksgiving in 1995. While most American families were sitting at the table, feasting on turkey, 15-year-old Alecia was partying in a club.

I overdosed. The combination of drugs almost killed me - the singer confessed.

Pink was rescued in a hospital and since then, she has never reached for "hard" drugs. She learned to channel her emotions onto paper, writing song lyrics. At the age of 16, together with two friends, she formed the band Choice and signed her first contract. Five years later, she released her debut solo album "Can't Take Me Home", which went double platinum.
