Despite the torrential rain and strong winds, the plane successfully landed on runway number 12 at Malaga Airport. The video, which shows the moment of landing, was recorded in the cockpit on Wednesday, November 13 of this year.
The pilot landed in difficult conditions
Due to heavy rain and fog, visibility during the landing was limited. As the plane descended closer to the airstrip, the camera panned to show the surrounding airport area.
The nearby Guadalhorce River flooded the surrounding areas, almost reaching the airport's grounds. Some trees were largely underwater.
Under the video on social media, many questions arose about whether the person piloting the plane could use phones during landing and record it. It was quickly clarified that the video's author is not the pilot of the aircraft but another person in the cockpit.
The situation in Malaga
During the second wave of heavy rain early in the week, the highest red alerts were issued in Malaga and Valencia. Currently, the situation has significantly improved and is slowly returning to normal. After two days of closure, schools, universities, and other institutions in the Malaga province will resume their activities.
The regional authorities and meteorologists are constantly monitoring the situation throughout the country.
