Peaky Blinders movie in production with Murphy back as Tommy Shelby

There were talks about the movie "Peaky Blinders" even before the series concluded, but now production has officially begun. We have also learned that the conclusion to the Shelby gang's story can be watched from the comfort of our own homes.
The tale of the Shelby family, led by Tommy (Cillian Murphy), has been captivating viewers' imaginations since 2013. The popular series "Peaky Blinders" spanned six seasons, during which the Birmingham gang steadily climbed higher and higher in the power hierarchy of Great Britain.

The series' conclusion in 2022 is not the end for "Peaky Blinders." Even before the premiere of the final episodes, series creator Steven Knight announced plans for a feature-length film to conclude the story of Tommy Shelby. As he promised, he delivered.
An official photo of the script for the "Peaky Blinders" movie, written by Steven Knight, has appeared online. We know that Cillian Murphy, fresh off his Oscar-winning role in "Oppenheimer," will play the lead role in the production. As he expressed in an official announcement on Netflix's social media:
"It seems Tommy Shelby is not done with me yet... It's very satisfying to collaborate once again with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of 'Peaky Blinders.' This film is for the fans," Murphy announced.
Unfortunately, the details of the upcoming film's plot are still unknown, and we don't know which actors from the original cast will be returning. It's hard to even speculate what the new movie will be about, as the series finale (without delving into spoilers) left many open paths regarding the future of Tommy Shelby and company.

As mentioned, the scriptwriter of the production is Steven Knight, and the director is Tom Harper, who had the opportunity to create some of the first episodes of the popular BBC series.
Unfortunately, everyone remains silent about the film's premiere date. Even if the creators begin filming in June this year, we expect the production to debut on Netflix at the earliest in 2025.
