Pea power: Discover the health benefits of tasty patties
These patties don't contain a gram of meat, yet they are wonderfully filling. Once someone tries them, they often return to this recipe. I've been making them for years, and both my close and extended family have come to love them. It's not a dish that's eaten often.

Dishes made with peas are very popular. They're not as common on our tables now because they're associated with long preparation times and are hard to digest. However, it's worth reconsidering this and giving peas another chance.
A good source of protein
Peas are one of the oldest and most versatile legumes. Although they might not be as popular as chickpeas or lentils, their nutritional value and beneficial effects on health are undeniable.
Peas are primarily a rich source of protein, containing about 25% protein. They make an excellent meat substitute, particularly valuable for those on vegetarian and vegan diets. Additionally, peas are low in calories and have a low glycemic index.
Aids digestion
One of the main benefits of peas is their positive effect on the digestive system. The fiber in peas aids digestion and prevents constipation. Regular consumption of peas can also help lower blood cholesterol levels, thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
Peas also contain many vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, and iron. These nutrients support the immune system, improve skin, hair, and nail conditions, and help maintain the proper functioning of the nervous system.
Not just soup
Peas are most often used in soup, but they can also be used in many other delicious dishes. They are great in salads, spreads, and even vegetarian patties.
