The salad is quick, tasty, and easy to prepare. This combination of delicate pasta, juicy chicken, and fresh vegetables will provide you with plenty of vitamins, protein, and, most importantly, a lot of flavor.

Pasta is primarily an excellent source of carbohydrates. They form the basic fuel for our bodies, playing a crucial role in providing energy. The carbohydrates in pasta are released gradually, ensuring a steady level of energy throughout the day. This is particularly important for physically active people.

However, pasta isn't just about carbohydrates. It also contains certain amounts of protein, which are essential for building and repairing tissues. It’s also worth mentioning that various types of pasta can provide additional nutrients. For example, whole-grain pasta is richer in fiber, B-group vitamins, and minerals such as iron and magnesium. This positively affects digestion and lowers cholesterol levels.

A salad that keeps you full for longer

Pasta is one of the most popular and versatile food products. Due to its versatility, it forms the basis of many dishes in different cuisines, from Italy to Asia. Pasta salads also have many advantages. They are quick to prepare and filling. It’s worth enhancing them with chicken and seasonal vegetables, including fresh cucumbers.

Pasta salad — recipe

  • about 7 oz of fusilli pasta,
  • baked or boiled chicken breast,
  • 2-3 fresh cucumbers,
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs,
  • 1 red bell pepper,
  • half a bunch of dill.

For the sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons of natural yogurt,
  • 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise,
  • mustard to taste,
  • salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions, drain, and let it cool down.
  2. Finely chop the chicken and hard-boiled eggs.
  3. Peel the cucumbers and cut them into smaller pieces.
  4. Prepare the pepper similarly, removing its seeds.
  5. Chop the dill.
  6. Prepare the sauce from the given ingredients; just mix them together.
  7. Combine the salad ingredients with the sauce, and it’s ready!
