The natural association with chips is, of course, potatoes, but after trying this dish, you might change your mind. The base of this crunchy snack is pasta, enhanced with the right amount of spices.

Sporting events, evening movie sessions, and gatherings with friends all share one thing - the sound of crunching. Chips, crisps, and nuts are popular choices, and at my home, so is pasta. This doesn't mean I serve a big bowl of raw pasta straight from the package. I quickly turn it into delicious chips, which are always a hit with guests.
Pasta chips - a simple snack idea
Pasta doesn’t usually come to mind as a snack, but this recipe will change that. Pasta chips initially cause surprise, but delight follows quickly after tasting them. You can use leftover pasta from dinner or cook a portion specifically for this snack.
It's simple and delicious because the right spices set the tone for the whole snack. I serve these chips with pizza sauce, but garlic or BBQ sauce would also work well.
Ingredients:
- 7 oz. of wave-shaped pasta
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1 teaspoon of granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
- 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan
- 1.8 oz. of pizza sauce
- parsley
Preparation:
Step 1: Cook the pasta in salted water per the package instructions. I usually opt for the wave-shaped type, but small twists also work. After cooking, drain the pasta.
Step 2: Transfer the cooked pasta to a bowl. Add the dried oregano, granulated garlic, sweet paprika, grated Parmesan, and olive oil. Mix thoroughly to ensure the ingredients evenly coat the pasta.
Step 3: Place the pasta on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in an oven preheated to 365°F for about 15 minutes until the pasta chips are crunchy. Transfer them to a large plate and serve with the sauce. Enjoy!
