Party king salad: The ultimate showstopper for your holiday feast
Although a New Year's Eve party is typically associated with drinks, delicious snacks are also essential. When the Party King is placed on the table, everyone will immediately come to pay it tribute.
Instead of the usual gyros salad and the mundane vegetable salad that no one wants to see after the holidays, opt for the Party King salad. This layered snack will quickly win over all your guests and make everyone want to shower you with praise for such a delightful dish.
Underneath the crown of crispy tortilla chips are delicious layers full of vegetables, chicken, and a tasty sauce. Each bite is packed with flavor, and the salad impresses even before being tasted.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 pound of chicken breast fillets
- 2 tablespoons of chicken seasoning
- 1 red onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 7 ounces of canned red beans
- 6 ounces of canned corn
- 1 avocado
- 1 beefsteak tomato
- 4 ounces of pickles
- 11 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
- 5 ounces of tortilla chips
For the Sauce:
- 5 ounces of plain yogurt
- 4 ounces of mayonnaise
- 3 ounces of ketchup
- 2 tablespoons of mustard
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
Step 1. Start with the sauce. In a bowl, combine the plain yogurt, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar, and mix thoroughly. If you don't have Worcestershire sauce, you can skip this ingredient. Place the prepared sauce in the refrigerator.
Step 2. Dice the chicken fillets and mix with olive oil and your favorite chicken seasoning. Sauté in a pan. Then, add the finely diced onion and bell pepper and sauté everything together.
Step 3. Chop the lettuce and lay it at the bottom of a bowl. Add the drained beans, corn, and half of the prepared sauce.
Step 4. Next, add the sautéed chicken and vegetables, avocado, tomato, and pickles. Add another layer of lettuce, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and drizzle with the remaining sauce.
