Dramatic footage from Israel has emerged online.

"The situation at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv: crowds of people trying to leave the country, noise and panic. In the capital of Israel, anti-aircraft defense sirens are wailing," writes Mash channel.

The Israelis are fleeing from the settlements bordering the Gaza Strip.

Journalist Ron Ben David reports that since 4:30 AM, battles with fighters are taking place in seven places in Israel: Kfar Aza, Sderot, Sufa, Nahal Oz, Kibbutz Magen, Kibbutz Beeri. "Large military forces are being moved to the south of Israel," he reported.

Israel attacked. Dozens killed, hundreds injured

At 12:30 AM on Saturday, Hamas attacked Israel, thereby initiating Operation "Al-Aqsa Flood". Thousands of rockets were fired towards towns in the south and center of the country. At the same time, Palestinian fighters attacked towns and military outposts on the border with the Gaza Strip, including the city of Sderot.

As a result of rocket explosions in Israel, at least 22 people were killed and over 500 were injured. Fights between Hamas fighters and the Israeli army continue in several towns along the border with the Gaza Strip.

In response, Israel has called tens of thousands of reservists to arms and announced the start of "Operation Iron Swords" against Hamas. Prime Minister Netanyahu stated, "the country is at war."
